Meet our Team
 Wilfried Slaney - Born in Namibia, I studied Chemical Engineeering and worked as an engineer in Oranjemund and Windhoek for a few years. In 1991 my hobby became my profession, when I established Profile Safaris. I want to share with you not only my flying passion but also my love of nature. As an experienced pilot / guide I look forward to taking you on your African dream safari in a single engine Cessna 210 or a twin-
engine Aero Commander.
Although, sharing the aerial esscence and the natural beauty of the African countries we travel in, is my main aim, I have done a few flying excursions privately. These include ferrying our Aero Commander from the USA via Greenland, Iceland and Europe to Namibia as well as flying in a Cessna 182 from Windhoek along the west African route to Munich in Germany. Most rewarding was our last trip in Europe with my wife and two friends, in a Sececa from Germany to the northern most point of Norway, the Spitzbergen on the Svalbard Archipelago.
Anita Slaney - As co-owner I share the passion of travelling and enjoy the planning of the safaris. I am in charge of marketing and accounts.
 Danika Ahrens - I was born in Namibia and grew up on a farm in east Namibia. After school I studied Graphic Design in Cape Town. After completing my course and working for 4 years in this environment I realized that my passion is tourism and therefore joined Profile Safaris in 2005 as a Fly-In Safari and Charter Coordinator. Being fluent in German, English and Afrikaans adds to the advantage of communicating with clients of different languages.
My responsibilities at Profile Safaris include quoting, arranging and coordination of Fly-in Safaris and Charters for tourists locally and overseas, bookings, ticketing, clearances and customer support, compiling the flight programs and coordinating with the lodges, passengers and pilots, as well as seeing that maintenance and inspections on aircrafts are booked and done when necessary. I am in charge of the office management and make sure that every safari is planned to perfection and runs smoothly.
Since working at Profile Safaris I developed a passion for aviation, therefore combing tourism and aviation creates an idealic working environment for myself.
 Elishia Smit - Born in South Africa, I worked as an Airspace Coordinator (Ground Command and Control) in the National South African Air force for 11 years. After completing Educational Technology, I also presented courses at South African Air Force College and the Air Space Control School. Other interest and courses completed include Radar Reporting, Meteorology and Aircrew Interaction and Management.
After moving to Namibia I decided to continue my passion for aviation combined with tourism, therefore joining the Profile Safaris team as Charter and Fly-in Safari Coordinator. My basic tasks include quoting, coordination and arranging of fly-in safaris & charters for tourist both locally and overseas, administrative and secretarial duties, coordinating with the lodges, passengers and pilots, booking, ticketing, clearances and general customer support.
