Day 1 &
2
After departure from Windhoek / Eros Airport, your flight takes
you north-west over the colourful geological formations of Damaraland,
then further north across Kaokoland and the orange
vistas of the Hartmann Valley, right up to the banks of the
Kunene, where you will spend two nights. Water levels permitting,
you will be taken on a boat cruise for crocodile spotting and
bird-watching, as well as on drives through very rough and breathtaking
terrain.
Day
3
Today’s flight follows the meandering course of the
Kunene river, giving you a bird’s eye view the scenic
Epupa Falls and lands at Etosha National Park. After lunch
you will be taken on an afternoon game drive in the park.
Day
4 & 5
Your flight via Grootfontein (passport control) and Maun (passport
control, Botswana) takes you to the famous Okavango Delta, where
you will experience wildlife and bird watching from an open
vehicle, a boat, a mokoro (hollowed out canoe) or on foot.
Day 6
Flight via Kasane (passport control) to Impalila Island in the
eastern Caprivi at the confluence of the Chobe and
Zambezi rivers. This is a paradise
for angling (the fierce tiger fish of the mighty Zambezi), “sundowner”
cruises on the Chobe river, game- and bird-watching, mokoro
trips and guided walks on the island.
Day 7 &
8
Expect to be thrilled by this flight: the “flight of the
angels”, which takes you right over the incredible Victoria
Falls. Touchdown in Livingstone (passport control) and on to
Jeki in the Lower Zambezi National Park. Experience the wilderness
on foot, by vehicle or by boat on the great Zambezi.
Day
9 & 10
Flight to Mfuwe and then a drive to South Luangwa National
Park. Experience the magic of Africa on game drives (day and
night), guided walks and visits to a Zambian village.
Day 11 &
12
Flight via Kasane (passport control for Botswana) to the Makgadikgadi
Pans at the edge of the ancient Kalahari desert, where you will
explore this remote area by vehicle or on quad bike.
Day 13
Flight via Ghanzi (passport control) and Gobabis (passport control)
to southern Namibia and the Namib Rand Nature Reserve. Admire
the splendid landscape from your private veranda or go on a
scenic drive through an unspoilt wilderness of breathtaking
beauty with a surprising variety of game and birds.
Day 14
After an early morning flight to Sesriem follows a scenic drive
to Sossusvlei with its magnificent multi-crested star dunes
of ancient terracotta sands – a fitting grand finale for
your trip. After lunch at Sossusvlei Lodge, return flight to
Windhoek/ Eros airport.
